Biography
Milo Ahenakew began playing and studying guitar at the age of 14. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Performance (Guitar) with a Minor in Audio Production from the Musicians Institute (MI) and has done work in Post Production Audio and Live Sound.
In addition to guitar, he has studied and plays, bass guitar, piano, drums and vocals, which contributes to his overall appreciation of music. He has played guitar in several bands from the Tri-state area (NY, NJ & CT) as well as in Southern California. Milo is a well-rounded and skilled musician who enjoys playing different genres; Rock, Metal, R&B, Indie, Folk, Jazz, Fusion, Funk, Country, and Classical.
Supplementary to his music performance capabilities, Milo is also an audio engineer who owns a home recording studio named Medicine Tracks in Orange County, NY. He offers recording and mixing services at affordable rates to artists and bands of all styles.
Milo has also maintained his cultural roots through ceremony and dancing at powwows with the heartbeat of the drum. He believes that music is a part of the higher healing vibrations of life, and looks forward to contributing to his chosen field so that everyone can share in this musical journey that we are all traveling on.
